Delia Baker, a Texas girl living in an LA world, accidentally overdoses on pills after an argument with her newly famous boyfriend. After the doctor rules it out as a suicide attempt, Delia’s family flies her back home to her tight knit, republican community where gossip and reputation lord over all to work off her hospital bill at her late father’s cafe. Struggling to understand her own mortality and identity, Delia finds herself helping a wealthy, love-stricken debutante navigate her own battle with mental health after finding her about to jump off the roof of a building where her own party is being held.
